Joel F. Foreman
Joel is founding shareholder of Foreman, McInnis and Douglas. He focuses his practice in real property litigation and transactions, trial practice, administrative law, business law, and personal injury. Joel has a limited family law practice and handles civil appeals.
Joel holds two degrees from the University of Florida, receiving his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the College of Law. Between his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees, Joel was the marketing director for one of North Florida's largest credit unions.
Joel is Town Counsel for the Town of Glen St. Mary, Florida. He also serves as Special Magistrate for Code Enforcment for White Springs, Florida. Joel represents the Columbia County Sheriff's Office in civil asset forfeitures and represents the Columbia County Economic Development Advisory Board. He also handles other matters for Columbia County that present conflict for the elected county attorney.
Joel is former Chair of the Third Judicial Circuit Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee (2011-2012) and has been appointed by the Governor to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Third Judicial Circuit (2011-2014; Chair-elect 2012-13).
Joel serves on the Board of Directors for the Lake City-Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, and serves as President for 2013. Joel is former chair of The Ichetucknee Partnership, a coalition of local civic organizations and governmental entities committed to protecting the Ichetucknee River and springs.
Joel is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law section of the Florida Bar, and the Third Judicial Circuit Bar Association.
